Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England

Job Description: Our Client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical emphasis to join their friendly team. The position involves a mix of consultations and surgeries in a busy small animal-only clinic. While the ability to work independently is preferred, it’s not mandatory.

They support individuals interested in pursuing surgical or imaging certificates, boasting a skilled team capable of providing guidance. With a substantial client base and a wide range of cases, from routine surgeries to complex orthopaedic procedures, there’s ample opportunity for professional growth.

Flexible scheduling for optimal work-life balance is offered, accommodating both full-time and part-time applicants. They are open to candidates seeking varied hours to suit their lifestyles and familial commitments. Rotational Saturday shifts occur once every 4 weeks for consultations and emergencies; however, there’s no requirement for out-of-hours work as neighbouring practices cover these responsibilities.

Benefiting from an established client base, the clinic conducts in-house blood and urine tests using Idexx laboratory equipment. They also possess a Mylab X5 ultrasound machine, dental equipment, and digital x-ray facilities. Situated near picturesque countryside and major cities, the clinic enjoys excellent transport connections. Collaboration with other branches within their network allows for internal referrals and access to advice when needed.

The team comprises 3 veterinary surgeons, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs, and 3 receptionists, along with a dedicated Branch Manager. They operate cohesively, providing mutual support and camaraderie both in and out of the workplace. New team members are warmly welcomed and offered full support in their roles. As a training practice, they often host nursing and veterinary students on placement, who consistently praise the positive team environment and express a desire to return.
