Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Mid Glamorgan, Wales

Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Mid Glamorgan, Wales

Job Details: We have an excellent client in Wales who are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. In this role, you will assume sole charge responsibilities, with the support of their dedicated RVN boasting 15 years of experience, an SVN, two Receptionists, and a Practice Manager.

Your responsibilities will entail a blend of consultations and surgeries, typically scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, which are their designated operating days. They actively promote case continuity, encouraging you to follow up on more complex cases across their other sites if necessary. Being part of a larger group ensures that you’ll always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience.

Their branch boasts a warm and inviting reception/waiting area, complemented by two consultation rooms, a prep room, and a theatre. Fully equipped, their facility includes an in-house lab area, x-ray and ultrasound machines, as well as Signal Pet technology. Moreover, they have the added advantage of 24-hour hospital support and certified professionals. Convenient parking is available on-site for both clients and staff.

Normally, their full-time Vets adhere to a 40-hour workweek spread across five days, without weekend shifts. The clinic operates from 8:30AM to 6:00PM, providing ample flexibility. For those interested in a four-day workweek, they can explore options to compensate for the additional hours through participation in a Saturday rota at their other location. Rest assured, there are no out-of-hours commitments. They are equally open to considering part-time applicants.

For those seeking a dynamic balance between sole charge duties and collaborative work with other Vets, they are open to discussing options for splitting your time between two clinics. They are located near Caerphilly.

Package:

  • 6+ weeks of annual leave
  • Medical insurance for individuals
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) allowance with 5 days paid pro rata
  • Support for obtaining certificates
  • British Veterinary Association (BVA) membership
  • Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) coverage
  • Registration fees for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
