Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Frankby, Merseyside, England

Job Details: Are you seeking a role that offers true flexibility? Do you have a preferred way of working but haven’t found the right fit yet?

Look no further! Our clients growing practice is in search of a veterinary surgeon who shares their belief that high-quality general practice is the future of the industry. They are eager to expand upon their excellent local reputation as a friendly, honest, and caring team.

The practice is situated under 30 minutes from both Liverpool and Chester City Centres, and less than an hour from the stunning landscapes of North Wales. Whether you enjoy city excursions or outdoor adventures, you’ll find it all within reach.

To prioritise their team’s well-being, they have set their opening hours accordingly, excluding Sundays and offering Saturday shifts from 9am to 1pm.

Our dedicated team comprises two experienced vets, one Head Veterinary Nurse, three Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Student Veterinary Nurses, one Veterinary Care Assistant, and a seasoned practice manager (with 19 years of experience). With a commitment to fostering a no-blame culture, they actively engage in regular clinical governance meetings as an RCVS accredited practice to ensure continuous learning and improvement.

Our client firmly believe in supporting their team’s career aspirations through tailored CPD opportunities. Whether you have a special interest you wish to pursue or want to further develop your skills, they are here to help you achieve your goals.

They offer flexibility in terms of full or part-time positions, accommodating anything from one to five days per week. For full-time roles, they encourage a four-day workweek.

While ideally, their new vet would join their 1:3 Saturday morning rota, they are open to discussing alternative arrangements. As stated, their priority is finding someone who aligns with their ethos, and if you require Saturdays off for personal commitments, they are still keen to hear from you.

In practice, they operate 15-minute consults and follow a dynamic scheduling system based on their strong client relationships. At their core, they are a local family practice built on word-of-mouth reputation.

In addition to flexible working arrangements, they offer a competitive salary based on your experience level, no out-of-hours responsibilities, and paid VDS & RCVS memberships. Additionally, you’ll have access to their company reward hub, featuring discounts from various high street retailers.
