Job Description: A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our Client’s 9-vet branch.
The role is located 15 minutes South of Bamber Bridge

This position is suitable for both experienced Veterinary Surgeons and New Graduates seeking the support necessary to advance their careers. It operates within an environment where colleagues assist each other by sharing skills and knowledge, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a keenness to learn and enhance surgical abilities.
This role entails working four days a week, with either 1:3 Saturday or Sunday shifts or a 1:6 full weekend rotation.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
- Providing exceptional care to clients, offering clear updates on patients.
- Observing professional excellence, adhering to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
- Preparing tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
- Engaging, mentoring, and developing the team, enhancing their skills and utilising them effectively.
- Providing first-class clinical care through consultations, procedures, and monitoring.
- Completing clinical handover and arranging the transfer of any patient needing out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Delivering exceptional client care by giving clear updates on patients and resolving issues as they arise.
- Observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
- Providing accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
- Maximising capacity through the most effective utilisation of clinical skills.
- Holding engaging clinical meetings with veterinary and nursing teams.
- Supporting and conducting colleague clinical mentoring/development.
- Proactively supporting and sharing clinical best practices within and across clinics and the wider community.
Our client is seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Being a registered Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS.
- Demonstrating experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
- Showing proficiency in working effectively as part of a team.
- Possessing clinical leadership skills.
- Having experience in implementing a progressive clinical culture.
- Experience in supporting nurse consults and scheduling 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
- Proficient in using coaching and influencing skills to maximise the performance of every colleague.
