Job Description: An exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager to oversee both our Clients Clinics 

The role is located 20 minutes East of Exeter

Our Client boasts top-notch facilities including a Cardiac ultrasound, dental X-rays, a K-laser, an aseptic theatre and prep room, endoscopes, and a full in-house lab for blood, biochemistry, and urine analysis. Additionally, the practice features spacious waiting rooms and consult rooms, separate dog kennels, a cattery, and an exotic ward. 

You will be handling a variety of cases including birds, primates, reptiles, and snakes. The clinic comprises a supportive team of Vets, RVNs, SVNs, and Patient Care Assistants.

The role entails a 5-day, 40-hour workweek, from 9 am to 5 pm. To provide exceptional care is our client’s ethos, which extends to their patients, clients, and team members. They strive to make a positive impact through every interaction.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional client care, monitoring feedback, and implementing actions to enhance practice performance.
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Operations Director to optimise commercial performance, focusing on key performance indicators and managing costs.
  • Upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance, conducting audits, and sharing best practices within and beyond the client community.
  • Managing practice rotas effectively to ensure optimal service levels and utilisation of clinical skills.
  • Fostering team success through recruitment, induction, ongoing communication, and management, enhancing colleague engagement and retention.
  • Driving external promotion of the practice through local community engagement and other initiatives.

Our client is seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Knowledge and understanding of practice environments, ideally within a Veterinary, GP, or Dental practice.
  • Appreciation for exceptional care and its impact on the client experience.
  • Understanding of regulatory importance and effective compliance process management.
  • Experience driving commercial performance through financial management, marketing, and efficient operations.
  • Proficiency in resource planning.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, utilising coaching and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
