Mixed Animal Associate Vet Surgeon Job, Hamilton, Victoria, Australia

Job Details: A mixed animal position is open at our clients companion animal clinic and livestock logic, vet and Ag consultants, and Parasitology Laboratory. The focus is primarily on treating dogs, cats, sheep, and cattle, with potential involvement in pocket pets, wildlife, and equine depending on your interests.

They offer both full-time and part-time positions, with full-time comprising an appealing 4 day week. An additional day off is provided following a rostered weekend if desired, and flexible working hours are available. After-hours duties are shared, involving 1 night a week and 1 weekend in 5 on call. 

You’ll be joining a supportive team of both vets and nurses, working in a well-equipped clinic. Exciting plans are underway for a purpose-built, new facility set to be completed in 2024.

About you:

We are seeking a veterinarian who thrives on the challenges of general practice, effortlessly transitioning from routine vaccinations to the intricacies of complex cases and routine surgeries. This individual should find joy in acquiring new knowledge and skills across various species. Whether an experienced vet or a motivated new graduate, all are welcome to apply.

Excellent communication skills, both with clients and colleagues, are a must. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about working collaboratively within a team and embody a positive “can-do” attitude. Prioritising excellent patient care and delivering an exceptional client experience is key for success in this role.
