Job Details: Our clients thriving practice nestled in the picturesque Beaudesert region are seeking a mixed/equine veterinarian to join them. They operate from a state-of-the-art facility and boast a team of 13-16 dedicated veterinarians.
At their practice, you’ll find a well-established and diverse clientele, encompassing everything from prestigious thoroughbred studs to pleasure horses, high-performance horses, dairy and beef farms, and even companion animals if it aligns with your interests.
Their surgical team handles a substantial caseload (averaging approx. 800 anaesthetic surgeries per annum) and is supported by two registered equine surgeons skilled in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, colic, reproduction, respiratory, gastrointestinal issues, and more. They also receive referrals for surgical and other complicated cases.
Their equipment includes cutting-edge digital x-ray and ultrasound machines to respiratory endoscope, gastroscope, arthroscope, laparoscope, ligasure, laser, dental powerfloat, in-house haematology and biochemistry analysers. They ensure that you have the tools you need to excel in your role.
Our clients practice staff are a highly skilled and motivated team that maintain a relaxed and fun atmosphere. They would like to employ a Vet who has the necessary skills to do the job and the character to enjoy the work with them.
The role they offer is predominantly equine, but also affording you the opportunity to broaden your skill set with unwavering support from their highly experienced Veterinarians. Duties will involve a full range of practice responsibilities, including ambulatory callouts, medicine, lameness, minor surgeries, and focus on equine reproduction (natural, AI, ET) during the breeding season.
Our client require a full-time veterinarian (85% equine,10% production animal and 5% companion animal).
Criteria:
- Ideally they would like a Veterinarian with 1+ years’ experience however new graduates are welcome to apply.
- They need an enthusiastic team player who loves their patients and has empathy and respect for their clients.
- Overseas vets are encouraged to apply, although must have a veterinary degree that is registerable with the QLD Veterinary Surgeons Board.
