Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal hospital in Belmont, New South Wales. The hospital has cared for pets across the Greater Newcastle area for more than 50 years and combines a trusted community reputation with modern veterinary facilities. With dental X-rays, Vet-Tome, tonometer, video otoscope, rigid endoscopy, ultrasound, and a full orthopaedic setup including TPLO, this role offers excellent clinical variety with mentorship from an experienced orthopaedic surgeon.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing small animal consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and preventative care
- Performing routine surgery and supporting more advanced procedures where appropriate
- Developing skills in orthopaedic case work with experienced mentorship available
- Using modern diagnostic and surgical equipment to support patient outcomes
- Building strong client relationships through clear communication and compassionate care
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current or eligible veterinary registration in New South Wales
- Ideally three or more years of clinical veterinary experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Positive, team-focused attitude with a desire to continue developing professionally
