Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Wimbledon, London, England

Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Wimbledon, London, England

Job Description: Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to become part of a welcoming small animal clinical environment, offering the opportunity to deliver exceptional veterinary care while developing individual clinical interests. The position is particularly suited to a confident practitioner who enjoys building lasting relationships with pet owners, investigating cases thoroughly and providing thoughtful, tailored treatment. A keen interest in surgery would be highly valued, although applicants wishing to broaden their overall clinical capabilities are equally encouraged.

The role offers access to excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital radiography, dental imaging, ultrasound equipment and two dedicated operating theatres. Working alongside another veterinary surgeon, four experienced registered veterinary nurses and additional clinical support professionals, the successful candidate will benefit from a collaborative atmosphere where clinical discussions, shared expertise and professional growth are actively encouraged. A loyal and engaged client base provides opportunities for detailed case investigations, while involvement in local charitable initiatives adds further variety to the clinical experience.

Package:

  • Five weeks of paid annual leave alongside public holidays, with additional leave opportunities linked to continued service
  • Comprehensive private medical insurance and healthcare cash benefits available from the first day
  • An annual £1,500 professional development budget supplemented by three paid learning days
  • Financial coverage for RCVS, VDS and BVA professional registrations and memberships
  • Opportunities to work towards funded postgraduate certificates and expand specialised clinical interests
  • Life assurance provision offering financial protection equivalent to three times annual earnings
  • A dedicated additional paid day off for personal enjoyment, alongside potential extended leave arrangements
  • Support for everyday commuting expenses through cycle purchase schemes and season ticket assistance
  • Confidential counselling services available around the clock, together with additional employee wellbeing resources
  • Exposure to experienced clinical professionals and structured opportunities for continued career progression
