Job Details: Our excellent client are offering a full or part-time position in an independent small animal practice located in a charming market town. Their practice has recently undergone renovation and boasts modern equipment to support your work.
The role will encompass both consulting and operating duties, with the flexibility to tailor the rota to individual strengths.
The practice offers in-house out-of-hours services, with a current rota requiring coverage of 1:6 weekends, Saturday mornings, and typically one weekday night.
A typical week involves:
- 1 or 2 shifts from 8:45 am to 5 pm
- 1 or 2 shifts from 8:45 am to 6 pm
- 1 half-day per week from 8:30 am to 1 pm, with an additional half-day on Fridays following a weekend on call
- 1 on-call day from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with the on-call phone managed by the nurse on duty
They prioritise your clinical expertise and involvement in decision-making over financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). With experienced staff, including certificate holders, readily available, you’ll have ample opportunities to discuss cases and collaborate with colleagues.
For added support, teleconsulting is available through VetCT, with orthopaedic support from Rata if needed. Their working hours are sociable, with regular 5pm finishes and a half-day off per week to attend to personal matters.
