Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly first-opinion setting offering excellent flexibility and a strong emphasis on sustainable working hours. The position can accommodate either a 36-hour full-time week or part-time arrangements, making it well suited to a confident clinician looking to balance professional development with life outside work. The caseload covers routine consultations and surgery, supported by separate canine and feline wards, a spacious operating theatre, modern dental equipment, ultrasound and digital radiography. There are no out-of-hours duties beyond a light 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Working through a varied first-opinion medical and surgical caseload
- Investigating cases using in-house imaging and diagnostic equipment
- Providing clear treatment recommendations and maintaining continuity of care
- Collaborating closely with experienced veterinary nurses and fellow clinicians
- Participating in the shared 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota
