Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing small animal team, taking responsibility for a varied caseload while delivering consistently high standards of clinical care. This opportunity would suit a confident clinician with UK practice experience who is comfortable managing cases independently and has particularly strong surgical capabilities. Experience or an interest in dentistry would also be advantageous.
The position is ideally full-time at 40 hours per week, with shifts generally running from 9am to 7:30pm and Saturday participation forming part of the rota. There are no out-of-hours requirements. Modern facilities support comprehensive case management and include ultrasound with multiple probes, endoscopy, digital imaging, dental equipment and in-house laboratory diagnostics.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Independently manage medical and surgical cases from initial assessment through to treatment
- Perform routine and more involved surgical procedures to a high clinical standard
- Build trusted relationships with clients through clear and compassionate communication
- Use diagnostic facilities effectively when investigating and developing treatment plans
- Contribute positively to clinical discussions and support colleagues across the wider team
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with previous UK clinical experience
- Established small animal experience with excellent surgical capabilities
- Confidence handling an individual caseload and periods of lone clinical work
- Dentistry experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- Commitment to continued learning and delivering excellent patient care
