Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a permanent position combining community-based branch work with regular time in a busy veterinary hospital. The role offers a varied balance of consultations, routine procedures and independent case management, alongside access to advanced facilities and experienced clinicians when additional support is required.
The successful applicant will work in sole charge at the branch with assistance from two Registered Veterinary Nurses and a receptionist, while hospital shifts provide broader case exposure and collaboration across multiple clinical disciplines. Flexible working arrangements may be considered for a candidate with strong communication skills and a dependable approach to patient care.
This position is shared between a branch clinic in Lewes and a veterinary hospital in Brighton.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration and eligibility to practise in England
- Confidence managing consultations, routine operations and personal caseloads
- Ability to work independently during branch-based shifts
- Clear and professional communication with clients and colleagues
- Commitment to high-quality small animal medicine and compassionate care
Package:
- Full-time permanent position with flexible working considered
- Varied rota divided between branch and hospital practice
- Every-other-Saturday morning commitment at the branch
- Limited second on-call rota of approximately 1 in 15
