Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident Small Animal Vet Surgeon to step into a sole-charge general practice role within a well-established community setting. This opportunity is well suited to a clinician who enjoys autonomy while maintaining strong clinical standards and continuity of care.

The position offers a balanced and manageable first-opinion caseload, allowing the successful candidate to structure their day effectively across consultations, routine surgery, and administrative responsibilities. The role provides the chance to build meaningful client relationships while delivering consistent, high-quality veterinary care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a vet looking to take ownership of their own practice environment while benefiting from dependable regional and hospital-level clinical support whenever required.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing first-opinion consultations with clear diagnostic planning  
  • Performing routine surgical procedures within clinical competence  
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records  
  • Making appropriate referral decisions when additional support is required 
  • Working closely with nursing colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations  

Qualifications Needed:

  • RCVS registration or eligibility to register in the UK  
  • Previous experience within small animal general practice  
  • Confidence working independently in a sole-charge setting  
  • Strong organisational and client communication skills  
  • A calm and professional clinical approach
