Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy small animal setting with a varied medical and surgical caseload. The position would suit a capable GP clinician who is comfortable with routine procedures, enjoys managing a diverse range of cases and is keen to contribute to a supportive clinical environment. An interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a full-time opportunity covering 40 hours per week on a rota basis, with no out-of-hours responsibilities or sole-charge requirements. The successful candidate will have access to digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, multiparameter monitoring and additional surgical equipment. There is also exposure to exotic patients and orthopaedic cases, providing scope to broaden existing clinical interests.
Qualifications Needed:
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong general practice capabilities
- Confidence handling routine medical and surgical presentations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Interest in orthopaedics would be beneficial but is not required
- Enthusiasm for continued clinical development and collaborative working
Package:
- Full-time 40-hour working arrangement on a structured rota
