Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion setting on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys building lasting client relationships while having the autonomy to shape their own caseload within a supportive clinical environment.
The position offers a balanced mix of consultations and routine surgical work, supported by an experienced senior colleague and a capable nursing team. This role would particularly suit a clinician who is comfortable working independently during the week, enjoys developing their own client base, and appreciates the reassurance of strong regional and hospital-level clinical support when required.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering first-opinion consultations with clear diagnostic and treatment planning
- Carrying out routine surgical procedures within personal competence
- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records
- Making appropriate referral decisions when cases require escalation
- Contributing positively to a respectful and collaborative team culture
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration or eligibility to register in the UK
- Experience within small animal general practice preferred
- Confidence working independently within a GP environment
- Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
- A calm, organised, and reliable clinical approach
