Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to provide maternity cover at a busy first opinion practice in Harrow. This fixed-term role is suited to a confident GP vet who is comfortable with sole charge work, routine consultations, surgery, and leading day-to-day clinical flow with the support of an experienced nursing team.
The position offers a full-time four-day week with no on-call requirements, supported by a wider clinical structure for complex referrals and out-of-hours care. With access to a well-equipped branch, nearby hospital support, advanced diagnostics, and a strong regional clinical team, this role provides an excellent opportunity for a capable vet seeking a focused maternity cover position in northwest London.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon or eligibility to register
- Confidence working as a sole charge GP vet in a first opinion setting
- Strong ability across routine consultations, diagnostics, and surgery
- Clear communication skills with clients, colleagues, and support teams
- Organised, collaborative approach with commitment to evidence-based patient care
