Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to step into a senior clinical leadership position, combining hands-on veterinary work with responsibility for developing colleagues, maintaining high medical standards and helping shape the future direction of the clinic. The successful candidate will have scope to bring their own leadership style to the role while continuing to manage consultations, procedures and ongoing patient care.
This opportunity would suit either an established Lead Vet or an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to progress into leadership. Alongside clinical responsibilities, the position involves mentoring veterinary colleagues, leading clinical discussions, supporting team development and working closely with the Practice Manager on performance, standards and the overall client experience.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration with substantial small animal clinical experience
- Demonstrable leadership, coaching or mentoring capability
- Strong understanding of excellent client care and clinical standards
- Confidence managing consultations, procedures and complex clinical decision-making
- Ability to support team performance while contributing to the wider development of the clinic
