Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to step into a lead clinical position with responsibility for patient care, team development and the continued progression of the practice. This full-time opportunity would suit either an established Lead Vet or a confident Veterinary Surgeon ready to move into leadership while remaining actively involved in consultations, procedures and day-to-day clinical decision-making.
The successful candidate will have the freedom to influence clinical standards, strengthen client relationships and shape the future development of the practice. Alongside hands-on veterinary work, the role includes mentoring colleagues, leading clinical meetings, supporting recruitment and working closely with the Practice Manager to improve operational efficiency and overall performance.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical experience
- Demonstrable leadership, mentoring and coaching capabilities
- Confident handling consultations, procedures and complex client communication
- Strong understanding of clinical standards, compliance and patient safety
- Ability to support team development while contributing to practice performance
