Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a well-established companion animal clinic delivering high-quality first-opinion care. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases while maintaining a strong focus on patient welfare and client relationships.

You will become part of a collaborative team environment where professional standards, open communication, and continuous clinical improvement are strongly encouraged. The role would suit a veterinary surgeon who enjoys case continuity, building trust with pet owners, and contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking clinical setting.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patients through detailed clinical examinations and diagnostic workups  
  • Carrying out surgical procedures appropriate to your clinical experience  
  • Explaining treatment options and costs clearly to pet owners  
  • Monitoring recovery and ongoing care plans for hospitalised cases  
  • Working closely with veterinary nurses to coordinate patient care  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons  
  • Background in companion animal veterinary practice  
  • Comfortable managing both preventative care and medical cases  
  • Strong interpersonal approach when interacting with pet owners  
  • Ability to operate effectively within a collaborative clinical team
