Job Description: Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy small animal clinical environment offering a broad range of first-opinion cases and excellent opportunities for continued professional growth. The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and client care assistants, with individual coaching and collaborative case discussions forming an important part of everyday clinical practice. A varied caseload provides opportunities to strengthen diagnostic abilities, develop surgical confidence and pursue additional areas of clinical interest.
The position offers access to dental radiography, laparoscopic spaying equipment and remote veterinary specialist consultations, providing valuable resources for investigating and managing more challenging cases. Ongoing refurbishment and improvements to clinical facilities create an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of patient services. The role may involve working across several nearby clinical locations, offering additional exposure to different cases and colleagues.
A full-time schedule comprises four working days per week, with part-time applications also welcomed. A one-in-five half-day Saturday rotation, no bank holiday duties and no out-of-hours requirements provide an appealing balance between clinical responsibilities and personal commitments. With convenient parking, structured learning opportunities and a supportive professional atmosphere, this position is well suited to a veterinarian seeking clinical variety and long-term career satisfaction.
