Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to take on a lead clinical role within a growing practice, offering the chance to guide standards, mentor colleagues, and remain hands-on with a varied first opinion caseload. This position would suit a confident vet who enjoys leadership, client care, and supporting a team while continuing to develop their own clinical interests.
The practice offers three consult rooms, dental x-ray, separate cat and dog wards, and access to additional clinical support nearby across areas such as orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, medicine, ultrasonography, dentistry, exotics, and ophthalmology. With a 4-day working week, flexible working pattern options, and a fair share of weekends, this is a strong opportunity for a vet ready to step into a responsible and rewarding leadership position.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading consultations, procedures, clinical handovers, and patient care standards
- Supporting the Practice Manager with efficient daily clinic performance
- Guiding colleagues through coaching, shared standards, and clinical development
- Preparing accurate estimates and communicating treatment plans clearly
- Encouraging strong teamwork across vets, nurses, and support colleagues
