Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Easthampstead, Berkshire, England

Small Animal Vet Surgeon Job, Easthampstead, Berkshire, England

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to take on a lead clinical role within a growing practice, offering the chance to guide standards, mentor colleagues, and remain hands-on with a varied first opinion caseload. This position would suit a confident vet who enjoys leadership, client care, and supporting a team while continuing to develop their own clinical interests.

The practice offers three consult rooms, dental x-ray, separate cat and dog wards, and access to additional clinical support nearby across areas such as orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, medicine, ultrasonography, dentistry, exotics, and ophthalmology. With a 4-day working week, flexible working pattern options, and a fair share of weekends, this is a strong opportunity for a vet ready to step into a responsible and rewarding leadership position.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading consultations, procedures, clinical handovers, and patient care standards
  • Supporting the Practice Manager with efficient daily clinic performance
  • Guiding colleagues through coaching, shared standards, and clinical development
  • Preparing accurate estimates and communicating treatment plans clearly
  • Encouraging strong teamwork across vets, nurses, and support colleagues

Package:

  • Four-day working week with flexibility around working pattern considered
  • Quarterly lead vet contribution scheme with additional earning potential
  • Access to dental x-ray and separate cat and dog ward facilities
  • Nearby clinical support across multiple advanced areas of interest
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with three paid CPD days each year
  • Funded certificate opportunities available
  • Five weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service
  • Additional paid personal day included each year
  • Private medical insurance and health cash plan from day one
  • RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees paid
