Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team in County Durham. The position offers a four-day week, purpose-built facilities, inpatient care, diagnostics, surgery, dental work, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, laser therapy, and dedicated operating days to support continuity of care. Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon or eligibility to register
- Confidence with small animal consultations, diagnostics, and routine procedures
- Interest in working within a supportive GP practice with varied clinical facilities
- Strong communication skills with clients, colleagues, and support staff
- Positive approach to teamwork, learning, mentoring, and high-quality patient care
Package:
- Full-time role across four days per week
- Part-time applications considered
- Salary from £35,000, dependent on experience
- Shared weekday on-call rota up to 9pm
- Occasional Saturday shifts from 9am to 5pm
- No Sunday or bank holiday work
- 6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays
- £1,750 CPD allowance per annum
