Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a supportive first-opinion team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role offers a balanced mix of consulting and surgery, with scope to tailor the working pattern towards individual clinical strengths and interests.
This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time hours are approximately 36 hours across four days, with typical shifts running from 8:30am to 6:30pm. The rota includes around 1 in 6 Saturday mornings with time off in lieu, and the successful candidate may either remain based at one site or work across multiple branches for additional caseload variety.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration with VetGDP completed
- Previous small animal practice experience essential
- Confidence handling both consultations and routine surgical work
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to patient care
- Ability to work independently within an established clinical team
