Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident and motivated Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion setting, ideal for a veterinarian looking to take ownership of their role and build long-term continuity within a loyal client base. This position suits someone comfortable working independently while maintaining high clinical and service standards.

The role focuses on delivering consistent, patient-led care through a mix of consultations and routine surgical work. The successful candidate will enjoy autonomy within their day-to-day caseload while benefiting from structured clinical support and guidance when required, allowing both professional confidence and clinical development to continue progressing.

This opportunity also offers scope for leadership growth, working closely with nursing colleagues to support smooth daily operations, efficient diary management, and a positive working culture built on communication and teamwork.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing thorough consultations with clear treatment planning and follow-up care  
  • Performing routine surgical procedures within personal clinical competence  
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for continuity of care  
  • Supporting effective diary flow and daily clinical organisation  
  • Encouraging a respectful and cooperative team environment 

Qualifications Needed:

  • RCVS registration or eligibility to register in the UK  
  • Previous experience within small animal general practice  
  • Confidence working in a sole-charge environment when required  
  • Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues  
  • A proactive and organised clinical approach
