Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a community-focused first-opinion practice offering strong clinical autonomy alongside structured mentorship and ongoing development. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who wants to build confidence, develop individual clinical interests and progress towards further qualifications or future leadership responsibilities.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while benefiting from regular development-focused 1:1s, guidance from experienced senior clinicians and access to wider clinical expertise when more complex cases arise. The role also includes one weekend in six at a nearby 24-hour hospital, providing additional exposure to more varied and challenging cases, alongside participation in the on-call and Bank Holiday rota.
Qualifications Needed:
- Qualified MRCVS with a commitment to high-quality first-opinion care
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Interest in developing individual clinical strengths and areas of expertise
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload with appropriate clinical autonomy
- Willingness to participate in weekend, on-call and Bank Holiday rotas
