Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion practice on a full-time, permanent basis, with part-time applications also considered. The role offers the opportunity to build continuity with clients, manage a varied caseload and work alongside experienced veterinary colleagues, including certificate holders in ophthalmology and surgery.
The successful applicant will work a four-day week and should be confident handling consultations, routine surgery and occasional sole-charge responsibilities. This position would suit a dependable clinician who enjoys sharing knowledge, contributing to a supportive workplace and delivering consistent standards of patient care.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration with solid first-opinion clinical experience
- Confidence working both independently and alongside another vet
- Competence across routine consultations and surgical procedures
- A collaborative approach to supporting veterinary and nursing colleagues
- Official Veterinarian status would be beneficial but is not essential
Package:
- Permanent full-time role with part-time arrangements considered
- Four-day working week from 8:00am to 6:30pm
- Saturday morning rota with no full weekend requirement
