Job Description: Our client is seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a collaborative specialty and emergency team in a referral-focused hospital setting. This role is ideal for board-certified surgeons or clinicians whose practice is focused on small animal surgery, offering the chance to work on a variety of complex surgical cases within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The position provides the opportunity to refine surgical skills while collaborating with specialists in emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, and more. Candidates will be part of a team committed to excellence, compassionate care, and professional growth, while enjoying flexible work arrangements that accommodate work-life balance.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing advanced small animal surgical procedures across a broad range of cases  
  • Working closely with specialty and emergency teams to optimize patient outcomes  
  • Mentoring colleagues and supporting surgical team development  
  • Ensuring meticulous pre- and post-operative care documentation  
  • Participating in case discussions and contributing to continuous process improvements  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent  
  • Board-certified or practice limited to small animal surgery  
  • Strong technical surgical skills and clinical decision-making ability  
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills  
  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
