Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to take on a confident first-opinion role combining consultations, surgery and independent clinical responsibility. The position is ideal for a veterinarian with solid GP experience who is comfortable working sole charge when required and enjoys managing a varied small animal caseload.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with participation in a shared weekend rota and no out-of-hours requirement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to clinical development, build lasting client relationships and support newer veterinary colleagues through mentoring and day-to-day guidance.
Qualifications Needed:
- RCVS registration with strong experience in small animal first-opinion practice
- Confidence handling both medical and surgical cases independently
- Ability to manage sole-charge responsibilities when required
- Strong client communication skills with a proactive clinical approach
- Interest in mentoring and supporting developing veterinarians
