Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Part‑Time Veterinary Nurse to join the clinical team at a well‑equipped small animal practice in Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys supporting veterinary care across a broad range of duties including medical treatments, surgical support, diagnostic tasks and proactive patient care. You’ll work within a welcoming team that values professional growth and compassionate care for pets in a dynamic community setting. 

Our Vet Kawana provides comprehensive preventative and surgical services, including routine and more complex procedures, advanced dental care and in‑house pathology. The clinic is fitted with modern diagnostic equipment and surgical facilities, enabling you to support clients and veterinarians in delivering high‑quality care while contributing to smooth daily operations. 

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians with patient care including surgical preparation, anaesthetic monitoring and recovery  
  • Performing nursing duties related to diagnostics, treatment and clinical workflows  
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records and clinical documentation  
  • Supporting client‑facing care and communication with empathy and professionalism  
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and cohesive patient services  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification  
  • Previous experience in a small animal clinical setting  
  • Strong communication skills with clients and clinical colleagues  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated team  
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of animal care
