Job Description: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly equipped specialty and emergency setting. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to manage advanced surgical cases while working closely with experienced veterinarians, certified technicians and emergency clinicians in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
The facility provides extensive clinical resources including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics, canine and feline endoscopy, oxygen cages and a dedicated emergency surgical suite. Importantly, this position carries no on-call responsibilities, allowing the successful surgeon to focus on delivering high-quality surgical and perioperative care within a structured schedule.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing advanced surgical cases from initial assessment through postoperative follow-up
- Completing comprehensive examinations and diagnostic work-ups for referred patients
- Providing clear explanations of surgical findings, treatment options and expected outcomes to pet owners
- Maintaining thorough medical records and appropriate prescribing protocols
- Collaborating with emergency clinicians and technical staff to support smooth patient care from admission through discharge
