Job Description: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join an advanced referral and emergency environment providing complex surgical care. The position offers access to sophisticated diagnostic and surgical technology, including CT with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, digital endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, dedicated radiology facilities and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities.

The successful surgeon will work alongside experienced clinicians across surgery, internal medicine, cardiology and emergency care, with additional rehabilitation and acupuncture services available for patients. A flexible schedule of approximately three shifts per week is offered, with some overnight and on-call responsibilities forming part of the position.

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
  • Completion of a one-year rotational internship covering small animal medicine, surgery and emergency care
  • Completion of an AVMA-approved three-year surgical residency
  • Board certification preferred, with residency-trained candidates also considered
  • Current state veterinary licence with ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration
