Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian to join a vibrant full-time clinical team at a well-appointed veterinary clinic located in Cranbourne, Melbourne’s growing southeast region. This role is well suited to a clinician who enjoys a balanced mix of consulting, surgical procedures and diagnostic case management, and who thrives in a friendly practice environment with enthusiastic support staff. The successful candidate will enjoy delivering excellent pet care in a community that values compassionate veterinary medicine.

The practice is thoughtfully designed to optimise veterinary care, with multiple consult rooms, a sterile surgical theatre, X-ray, dental X-ray and in-house pathology capabilities. The clinic also benefits from regular specialist visits, giving you access to additional clinical resources and opportunities to broaden your expertise. With strong client traffic and a supportive team culture, this role offers both clinical satisfaction and everyday workplace fulfillment. 

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compassionate and thorough clinical care across a range of small animal cases  
  • Undertaking routine and non-routine surgical procedures with appropriate judgement  
  • Collaborating with nursing and support staff to deliver coordinated patient treatment plans  
  • Educating pet owners and building strong relationships through clear communication  
  • Contributing to the practice’s clinical standards and client service excellence  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Veterinary qualification recognised for registration in Victoria  
  • Proven experience in small animal veterinary practice  
  • Confidence to manage cases independently and collaboratively  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
