Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to combine advanced clinical practice with a focused leadership remit. Approximately 90–95% of the position will remain clinically based, with the remaining time dedicated to maintaining excellent medical standards, mentoring colleagues, and supporting the continued development of veterinary services.
The successful candidate will confidently manage complex internal medicine, surgical, dental, and emergency cases while providing thoughtful guidance to the wider clinical team. This position is particularly suited to a veterinarian who values independent decision-making, collaborative leadership, and the opportunity to influence patient-care standards without stepping away from hands-on medicine.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing challenging medical, surgical, dental, and emergency cases independently
- Maintaining consistent clinical standards across the veterinary service

- Contributing to medical planning, case review, and quality improvement
- Balancing a substantial clinical caseload with designated leadership duties
