Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director to oversee clinical standards while remaining actively involved in hands-on veterinary care. This role is well suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day clinical practice in a busy small animal setting.

The position focuses on guiding medical quality, supporting professional growth within the veterinary team, and fostering a collaborative working environment. Close partnership with operational leadership ensures that clinical excellence, workflow efficiency, and client experience remain closely aligned.

Alongside leadership duties, this role continues to include Associate-level clinical responsibilities, allowing the Medical Director to remain connected to patient care, case management, and client communication.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent qualification
  • Active state veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Several years of small animal clinical experience
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a supportive leadership style
