Job Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their thriving hospital in Stockton. This well-equipped practice provides comprehensive care to small animals and is recognised for its compassionate approach and commitment to clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of medical expertise, leadership, and mentorship to inspire the team and enhance the overall hospital culture.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the veterinary team with integrity and vision to uphold clinical excellence
  • Providing high-quality patient care across all areas of general practice
  • Mentoring associate veterinarians and supporting their continued development
  • Collaborating with management to optimise hospital performance and client satisfaction
  • Participating in strategic planning, budgeting, and medical protocol development

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent with valid California license
  • Proven leadership experience within a clinical setting
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in general surgery and diagnostic procedures
