Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to take a leading role in clinical standards while continuing to practise high-quality companion animal medicine and surgery. This position combines hands-on patient care with responsibility for guiding medical decision-making, supporting colleagues, and encouraging consistent standards across a fast-paced and collaborative clinical setting.
The successful veterinarian will work alongside credentialed technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service professionals, with access to advanced equipment including ultrasound, cold laser therapy, electronic medical records, and a dedicated dental suite with dental radiography. Client education and transparent communication are important aspects of the role, alongside maintaining excellent patient care and supporting the professional development of other clinicians.
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification
- Florida veterinary licensure in good standing or eligibility to obtain the required licence
- Strong medical and surgical capabilities within small animal practice
- Confidence providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and constructive support to colleagues
- Commitment to ethical veterinary practice and consistently high standards of patient care
