Job Description:Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead a well-established, multi-doctor hospital while continuing to deliver high-quality clinical care. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about leadership and enjoys guiding a team while maintaining an active presence in patient care. You will have the opportunity to shape clinical standards, mentor colleagues, and drive excellence across the practice.

The hospital offers a collaborative and well-supported environment, equipped with modern diagnostic tools and supported by a skilled team of veterinary nurses and support staff. This position allows for both clinical and strategic involvement, providing the opportunity to influence medical protocols while fostering a positive and cohesive team culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the clinical team and setting high standards of patient care
  • Overseeing medical protocols and ensuring best practice procedures
  • Performing consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Mentoring and supporting veterinarians and clinical staff
  • Building strong client relationships and promoting preventative care

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the USA
  • Proven experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
