Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead clinical standards while remaining actively involved in consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgery. This full-time opportunity is designed for a confident clinician who enjoys mentoring colleagues, strengthening patient-care protocols, and helping shape a positive and accountable working environment.

The successful candidate will guide the veterinary team through case discussions, professional development, and consistent medical decision-making while supporting efficient day-to-day operations. With a weekday schedule and no weekend opening hours, the position offers the chance to combine meaningful leadership responsibilities with a sustainable clinical routine.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Set and maintain high standards across medical, surgical, and client-care services.
  • Coach and support veterinarians through feedback, case review, and development planning.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to improve workflow, performance, and team engagement.
  • Lead by example through an active small animal caseload and sound clinical judgement.
  • Promote ethical practice, accurate documentation, and dependable communication throughout the hospital.
