Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to take on a leadership role within a well-established practice delivering high-quality veterinary care. This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on clinical work with team leadership, supporting both the professional development of colleagues and the continued growth of the hospital.

The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, influencing clinical standards, and contributing to operational success. You will work closely with the leadership team to drive performance, maintain medical excellence, and foster a collaborative and supportive team culture while managing a varied small animal caseload.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring the veterinary team to support clinical development
  • Maintaining high standards of patient care and medical protocols
  • Managing a mix of consultations and surgical procedures
  • Collaborating with leadership on operational and performance goals
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and team engagement initiatives

Qualifications Needed:

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Florida
  • Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
