Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Small Animal Veterinarian to lead their team as Medical Director. This full-time leadership role is ideal for someone who wants to guide clinical standards, mentor a talented group of veterinarians and RVTs, and help shape the long-term vision of a modern, AAHA-accredited hospital.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership in medical decision-making and practice standards
- Overseeing and supporting veterinarians and clinical staff in their daily work
- Maintaining an active caseload of medical, surgical, and dentistry cases
- Helping to develop and implement protocols that enhance patient care and workflow
- Fostering a positive, inclusive culture where team members feel heard and supported
Qualifications Needed:
- DVM degree with eligibility to practise in Ontario
- Significant small animal experience, ideally including mentorship or leadership
- Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and team-building skills
- Strategic mindset with an interest in practice development and quality improvement
