Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead clinical operations within a modern, technology-driven practice in Lower Manhattan. This role combines hands-on veterinary care with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to guide a team while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and client experience.

This position is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with leadership capability who is passionate about mentoring colleagues, developing clinical protocols, and fostering a positive team culture. You will work closely with operational leadership while maintaining an active clinical role, supported by strong systems and collaborative workflows.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing clinical standards and ensuring high-quality patient care  
  • Mentoring and developing associate veterinarians through coaching and feedback  
  • Managing team performance and supporting a positive workplace culture 
  • Collaborating with leadership on clinic operations and staffing  
  • Providing consultations and treatment as part of your clinical duties  

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent qualification  
  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure in New York  
  • Previous clinical experience with leadership responsibilities preferred  
  • Strong communication and team management skills  
  • Commitment to high standards of veterinary care and professional growth
