Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to provide clinical leadership within a well-established small animal practice while remaining actively involved in day-to-day patient care. The role combines hands-on medicine with team mentorship, clinical oversight and practice development, offering the opportunity to influence medical standards, doctor growth and overall hospital performance.
This position would suit a veterinarian with strong leadership instincts who enjoys supporting colleagues, improving clinical workflows and helping shape a positive working environment. The successful candidate will work closely with practice leadership while continuing to deliver preventative, diagnostic, medical and surgical care across a varied caseload.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical leadership while maintaining an active role in patient care
- Mentoring associate veterinarians and supporting professional development planning
- Guiding medical standards, workflow and quality improvement across the hospital
- Partnering with practice leadership on scheduling, planning and team development
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and retention of veterinary professionals
