Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to provide both clinical leadership and hands-on patient care within a well-established companion animal hospital. This position offers the opportunity to guide medical standards, mentor associate veterinarians, and ensure consistent delivery of thorough, evidence-based care. The role blends active case management with strategic oversight, allowing you to influence both medical quality and team development.

You will work closely with hospital leadership to strengthen operational performance while maintaining a strong clinical presence. The caseload includes preventative care, advanced diagnostics, surgical procedures, and urgent presentations, giving you the platform to model high standards while fostering a culture centered on accountability and collaboration.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with active state licensure  
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in small animal clinical practice  
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide fellow veterinarians  
  • Strong organizational and communication skills  
  • Interest in contributing to operational planning and performance goals
