Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead clinical standards while remaining actively involved in day-to-day companion animal medicine. This full-time position offers the opportunity to guide an established veterinary team, influence medical quality, support case management, and help shape the future direction of the hospital while continuing to maintain a rewarding clinical caseload.
The role is supported by capable veterinary and support colleagues, allowing the successful veterinarian to focus on patient care, clinical leadership, and team development. The schedule is structured around four weekdays with a rotating half-day Saturday, creating a practical balance between leadership responsibilities and clinical work.
Qualifications Needed:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
- Texas veterinary licensure in good standing or eligibility to obtain the required licence
- Significant small animal clinical experience with strong medical judgement
- Confidence mentoring veterinarians and supporting consistent clinical standards
- Leadership mindset with excellent communication and team development skills
