Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead a well-established general practice while continuing to deliver high-quality clinical care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership position, guiding the clinical direction of the hospital while remaining actively involved in patient care. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others and shaping standards of care within a supportive team environment.

The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment technology and is supported by a collaborative and experienced team. With a strong focus on patient wellbeing and team culture, this role allows the successful candidate to influence clinical protocols, support team development, and maintain a high standard of veterinary medicine in a positive and progressive setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the clinical team to maintain high standards of care
  • Performing consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Overseeing medical protocols and ensuring best practice guidelines
  • Mentoring and supporting veterinarians and clinical staff
  • Building strong relationships with clients and promoting preventative care

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the USA
    Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
