Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day veterinary care within a progressive small animal setting. This role is designed for a veterinarian who enjoys guiding medical standards, supporting team development, and maintaining a strong clinical presence.

The position offers a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on practice, with the opportunity to influence medical direction, scheduling structure, and team collaboration. The Medical Director will work closely with operational leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery, positive client experiences, and a supportive professional environment.

This role also allows flexibility in working patterns, accommodating full-time or part-time arrangements while prioritising sustainable workloads and long-term career satisfaction.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent qualification
  • Active state veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Previous experience mentoring or supporting other veterinarians
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to clinical excellence
