Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position within a well-established small animal hospital in Carmichael, California. This leadership role combines high-quality clinical practice with the opportunity to guide and develop a dedicated veterinary team in a modern, well-equipped environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining clinical standards, mentoring colleagues, and driving a positive and collaborative culture within the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to take the next step into leadership while continuing to practise hands-on medicine.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead clinical operations while maintaining a high standard of patient care
  • Perform examinations, diagnostics, and medical treatments for companion animals
  • Carry out routine surgical and dental procedures
  • Mentor and support veterinary team members in clinical development
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in California
  • Previous clinical experience with leadership or mentorship interest
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skill
