Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead a well-established general practice while maintaining an active clinical role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to combine leadership responsibilities with hands-on patient care, helping to shape clinical standards and guide the direction of the hospital.

The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology and is supported by a collaborative and experienced team. With a strong focus on quality medicine and patient wellbeing, this role allows the successful candidate to influence protocols, mentor colleagues, and foster a positive team culture while delivering high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the clinical team and overseeing medical standards within the hospital
  • Performing consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Supporting and mentoring veterinary staff and developing team capabilities
  • Implementing and maintaining clinical protocols and best practices
  • Building strong client relationships and promoting preventative care

Qualifications Needed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the USA
  • Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
