Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Locum Veterinarian to provide dependable clinical support across a busy first-opinion caseload. The role would suit a confident GP vet who can step comfortably into consultations, medical case management and routine surgery while working independently when required.
The successful locum will benefit from access to a well-equipped clinical environment with CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, modern laboratory facilities and keyhole surgery capability. A strong medical bias would be particularly useful, although the key requirement is broad GP competence, sound judgement and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS registration and proven small animal first-opinion experience
- Confidence managing consultations, medical workups and routine surgical cases
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day clinical supervision
- Strong client communication and practical decision-making skills
- Internal medicine interest advantageous
Package:
- Flexible locum arrangement depending on availability
- No overnight or out-of-hours responsibilities
- Shared evening consultations ending at 7:00 pm
- Saturday mornings only, finishing at 1:00 pm
- Access to CT, digital radiography, ultrasound and in-house laboratory diagnostics
